Install Conga Redlining

Pre-Installation

You must enable the Email-To-Case functionality in your Salesforce org before installing Conga Redlining.  To do so, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Setup.
  2. In Quick Find/Search, type Email-to-case and click Email-to-Case.
  3. Next to Email-to-Case Settings, click Edit.
  4. Check the box next to Enable Email-to-Case and click Save.
  5. Check the box next to Enable On-Demand Service and click Save.

You also need to enabled Enhanced Emails in order to successfully install Conga Redlining. To do so follow the steps below.

  1. Click Setup.
  2. In Quick Find/Search, type Enhanced Email and click Enhanced Email
  3. If you see a button with the word Disable on it, Enhanced Email is already enabled.
  4. If you see a button with the word Enable on it, click the button to enable Enhanced Email

If you do not have Enhanced Email turned on before installing you may receive the following error messages:

  1. No such column 'RelatedToId' on entity 'EmailMessage'. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names.

After enabling Email-to-Case you cannot disable it.  However, you can disable the On-Demand Service.

Install Conga Redlining

Install Conga Redlining from the AppExchange.  See Installation Links for Conga Products for the installation link.

Post-Installation

After installing, you must follow the steps below to complete the setup process.

Conga Redlining Setup Tab

Contracts Page Layout

  1. Navigate to Conga Redlining App and Conga Redlining Setup tab.
  2. To the right, click Contract Setup.
  3. Click Edit to edit a specific page layout.
  4. Select Buttons in the left column at the top of the page.
  5. Click and drag the Send for Negotiation, Select Primary Document and View Redlines buttons into the Custom Buttons region on the page layout.
  6. Select Fields in the left column at the top of the page.
  7. Click and drag Section onto the page wherever you want the Contract status Visualforce page to appear.

We recommend placing this section directly above the Contract Information section.

  1. In the Section Properties modal, you can choose a name for the section, whether section headers are displayed, and the layout of the section.

We recommend that you uncheck Detail Page and Edit Page next to Display Section Header On to hide headers.  We also recommend that you choose 1 columns for the Section layout.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Select Visualforce Pages in the left column at the top of the page.
  3. Click and drag apxt_contractStatus onto the page layout.
  4. Select Related Lists in the left column at the top of the page.
  5. Click and drag Files onto the page layout.
  6. Click Save.

Email Message Layout

  1. To the right, click Email Message Setup.
  2. Click Edit next to Email Message Layout.
  3. In the left column under Fields you will find Attached Contract
    Documents
    .
  4. Click and drag this field onto the page layout.
  5. Click Save.

Contract Fields

  1. To the right, click Contract Field History.
  2. Under Track Old and New Values, ensure that Primary Document
    and Status are checked.
  3. Click Save.

Connect with OAuth

  1. To the right, click Connect.

Create a New Email Template Folder

The email template folder stores all of the email templates you wish to use when sending
emails from Send for Negotiation.

If you do not wish to make a new email template folder and would rather add/edit
templates from a pre-existing email template folder you can skip this step.

1. Click Setup.
2. In Quick Find/Search, type Email Templates and click Email Templates.
3. Next to the Folder picklist, select Create New Folder.
4. Select a name for the folder, choose settings, and click Save.

Create and Edit Email Templates

Email templates populate the email template folder.  To create and edit email templates, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Setup.
  2. In Quick Find/Search, type Email Templates and click Email Templates.
  3. Select the email template folder from the Folder picklist that you want to store the email templates in.
  4. Click New Template to create a new custom template.

Use [!message] in your template to merge text from 'Additional Message' in Send for Negotiation with your custom template.

  1. Go through the template creation steps and click Save.
  2. Click Edit Properties to edit the template properties.

In order for an email template to be used, the Available for Use checkbox must be checked.

  1. Click Edit Template to edit the template content.

Domain Configuration

If you are already using My Domain, you do not need to complete these steps.

  1. Click Setup.
  2. In Quick Find/Search, type My Domain and click My Domain.
  3. Enter a domain name in the text box, check availability, check the box next to Terms and Conditions and click Register Domain.

You will receive an email shortly when your Salesforce domain is ready.  Feel free to move on to the next step and come back here after you receive the email.

  1. After you receive the email, navigate back to My Domain setup page.  On the page, click Click here to login and then click Deploy to Users and click OK.

Lightning Activation

  1. In the left sidebar, click Lightning Experience.
  2. Under Enable the New Salesforce Experience, click the slider next to Lightning Experience.  On the modal that pops-up, click Finish Enabling Lightning Experience.
