Sending a Reminder Email Message to a Workflow Step Owner

You can remind the owner of a workflow step that the step is still awaiting their completion if it is not completed in a timely manner. This option ensures the workflow will continue without interruption.

Any member of the Workflow Team is able to generate the reminder email message by clicking the  icon, which is available from the Active Workflow Items Portlet or from the Workflows browse screen in a Company, Contract, or Project Profile.

If the portlet is not already on your Dashboard, add the portlet by clicking the Add Portlet button, and then clicking the Add button for Active Workflow Items in the menu.

Workflow records

Locate the workflow that has the step that needs the reminder email message.

Note: Ensure the My Steps tab (default view) is selected.

Locate the step that needs the reminder email message.

Resend Email icon

Click on the icon to display a Resent Email prompt.

OK button

Click to send the reminder email to the step owner.

 

Emailing a Step Owner from the Workflows Browse Screen

A reminder email is sent from the Workflows Browse screen in a Contract Profile, Company Profile, or Project Profile.

  Although the Contract Profile is used in the example below, the same steps also apply to closing a workflow in a Company Profile and Project Profile.

Click to display the Workflows browse screen, which displays inside the Workflow Profile.

Workflow records

Locate the workflow that has the step that needs the reminder email message, and click on it to display the steps in the workflow.

Note: Ensure the Active Workflows tab (default view) is selected.

Click to send the reminder email to the step owner.
