Receiving Email for a Workflow Step

Once a workflow is created using the Workflow Wizard, Novatus sends out an email to the owner of each workflow step to let them know that they are responsible for completing the step. The subject of the email will be Workflow Action Required, and the sender is Novatus Workflow.

  You can also access the workflow steps you need to complete by selecting the My Workflow Steps tab in your Active Workflow Items portlet in the Dashboard.

     The fields that display in your email message will vary, depending on the fields your company wants displayed.

Profile identification

Identify the contract, company, or project for the workflow step.

Workflow Name

Review the name of the workflow.

Workflow Step Name

Review the name of the step for which you are responsible.

Workflow Description

Review a description of the step, outlining what you are expected to do.

Workflow Owner

View the email address of the person who created the workflow.

Go To Company link

Click if you want to display the Company Profile so you can review information for the company before completing the step.

Note: A project workflow contains only a Go To Project link and a Go To Workflow link.

Go To Contract link

Click if you want to display the Contract Profile so you can review the contract before completing the step.

Note: A company workflow will not contain this link.

Go To Workflow link

Click if you want to display the Workflow Profile where you can view the step in relation to the other steps in the workflow.
