Uploading a Document Revision

You can upload one or more revisions to a document stored in a Contract Profile, Company Profile, and Project Profile. Each revision is numbered and displayed as an individual document record in the Revisions section of the Document Profile.

A revision to a document is uploaded from the Documents browse screen in a Contract Profile, Company Profile, and Project Profile.

Although the Contract Profile is used in the example below, the same steps also apply to uploading a document revision in a Company Profile and Project Profile.

A

Documents link

Click to display the Documents browse screen.

B

Document records

Locate the document that needs the document revision, and click on the document record to open its Document Profile.

Note: The number of copies for the document is reflected in the Revision column. For example, if there is a "2" in the Revision column, there is one revision to the document, plus the original document.

C

Search option

To quickly locate a document, type the first few letters of the document name or other identifier in the Search field, and click the icon. To clear the filter, click on the icon.

Note: If you only know part of the document name or other identifier, use a leading and/or trailing wild card (denoted by an asterisk "*"). For example, if you wanted to search for a document that contains the word "Attachment," you could enter *attach* in the Search field.

Important: Use the Search filter to limit the fields that are searched by clicking on the button to display a list of searchable fields. Select only the check box(es) for the field(s) you want to search to guarantee accurate results.
