Viewing a Project Profile

The Project Profile provides basic information on a project, including the purpose of the project and the team (or individual) assigned to work on the project. The profile also contains links to the documents uploaded to the profile, the additional forms used to capture supplementary information, and a history of the changes made to the project. From the profile, you can add workflows and tasks to allocate responsibilities to yourself and other users, communicate with members of the team, and assign scorecards to rate various aspects of the project.


Navigation Toolbar

Click on My Place to display the menu, and then click on Projects to display your Projects browse screen.

Note: If the Projects link is not present, you do not have the permission to view or create projects.


Search option

If you want to locate a specific project, type the first few letters of the project name or other identifier in the Search field, and click the icon. To clear the filter, click on the icon.

Note: If you only know part of the project name or other identifier, use a leading and/or trailing wild card (denoted by an asterisk "*"). For example, if you wanted to search for a project that contained the word "build" or "building," you would enter *build* in the Search field.


Project records

Locate the project you want to view, and click on the project record to display its Project Profile. The list includes projects you have created, as well as the projects for which you are a member of the project team.


Edit button

Click if you want to edit the basic information for the project. Basic information includes the Project Name, Description, Project Group/Team, Override Start/End Dates, and any additional fields that have been added by your Administrator.


Copy Project button Click if you want to make a copy of the project. This option is useful if you want to create a new project that is similar to an existing project.


Add Item button

Click to display a drop-down menu that will allow you to add a company profile, a contract profile, or a folder to the project.

Note: If several profiles are needed for a project and you wish to organize your information, add a folder , name it, and then drag-and-drop the appropriate company and/or contract profiles into the folder.


Top Level Project folder

Click on the arrow image1083.png icon to the left of the top level project folder to display its contents. To hide the contents, click on the image1085.png icon.

Note: You can reorder the display of files in the Menu section of the screen by clicking on a Company Profile, Contract Profile, or folder, and then dragging and dropping it to a new location.


Lower Level folders Double-click on a Company Profile (indicated by the icon) or a Contract Profile (indicated by the icon) to display the Profile in a new tab in the Project Profile.  To return to the Project Profile, click on the Project tab.  If an additional folder was added to the profile, it is indicated by the icon).


Workflows link Click to display the active and completed workflows for the project, as well as any documents associated with the workflows.


Documents link Click to display all the documents currently stored in the Project Profile.


Tasks link Click to display the tasks associated with the project.


Additional Forms link Click to display the additional forms that are available to be added to the Project Profile to capture additional information.


History link Click to view a history of the changes that have been made to the Project Profile.


Scorecards link Click to display the available scorecards that you can assign to users so that they can evaluate the project.


Messaging link Click to view any messages sent from the project.  You can also use the link to send an email message and reply to a message.


Delete button Click if you want to delete the project.
