Editing Project Information

The Project Profile includes both system information and uploaded data. System information includes the project name, description, type, status, and start/stop dates, and also identifies the people who will be working on the project. Uploaded data includes the Company Profiles, Contract Profiles, and files that are added to the project. You can edit both system information and uploaded data.

Editing System Information

Navigation Toolbar

Click on My Place to display the menu, and then click on Projects to display your Projects browse screen.

Note: If the Projects link is not present, you do not have the permission to view or manage projects.

Project records

Locate the project you want to edit, and click on it to display its Project Profile screen.

Edit button

Click to display the Project Profile in edit mode.

Note: If you do not have administrative permission to edit a Project Profile, this button will not be present.

Project Name and Project Description fields

  • If you want to edit the name of the project, click in the Project Name field and type over the existing text.
  • If you want to edit the project's description, click in the Project Description field and type over the existing text.

Note: If the text you enter exceeds the viewing area of the field, click the Expand link to display a window that will allow you to view the text in its entirety.

Use Project Group radio button and list

If you want to change the people who will be working on the project to just yourself, select the Use Project Group radio button. Then, make a selection in the list of available options in the Project Group list, and proceed to Step G.

Use Project Team radio button and Project Team list box

If you want to change the people who will be working on the project, select the Use Project Team radio button. Then, click on the icon in the Project Team list box to run the Project Team Wizard, which will allow you to edit the members of the project team and their permissions.

Project Status list

if you want to change the project's current status, change the selection in the list.

Project Type list

If you want to change the project's type, change the selection in the list.

Override Start Date check box

Select if you want to enter/edit the start date for the project. To remove a start date, simply deselect the check box.

Project Start Date field

Enter/edit the start date for the project using the MM/DD/YYYY format. You can also use the calendar icon to select the date.

Override End Date check box

Select if you want to enter/edit the end date for the project. To remove an end date, simply deselect the check box.

Project End Date field

Enter/edit the end date for the project using the MM/DD/YYYY format.

Project Additional Fields section

If there are any additional fields for the project, edit the information in these fields, as needed.

Save button

Click to save your changes and edit the project information.

Note: Workflows, Flows, Tasks, Documents, Additional Forms, Scorecards, and Messages are also managed from the Project Profile.
 

 If a flow is associated with a project, you can complete a step in the flow, manage the flow documents, and invalidate a flow.

Editing Uploaded Data

Navigation Toolbar

Click on My Place to display the menu, and then click on Projects to display your Projects browse screen.

Project records

Locate the project you want to edit, and click on it to display its Project Profile screen.

Add Item list

  • If you want to add a Company Profile, click the Add Item button, select Add Company, and then select the company in the Select a Company window.
  • If you want to add a Contract Profile, click the Add Item button, select Add Contract, and then select the contract in the Select a Contract window.
  • If you want to add a folder to organize the profiles in the Menu section of the screen, click the Add Item button, and then select Add Folder.

Move option

If you want to move a Company or Contract Profile in the Menu section of the screen, click on it, and move your mouse in the direction in which you want to move the profile until the message displays. Drag the profile to the new location, and then drop it by releasing your mouse button. You can drag a Contract Profile into a Company Profile (and vice versa), and also change the hierarchy of the profiles displayed in the Menu section. To quickly change a company or contract profile from the second tier to the first tier in a hierarchy, drag the company or contract profile to the top folder in the Menu section.

Delete button

If you want to delete any of the profiles or folders in the Menu section, right click on the profile or folder, and select the button.

Profile tabs

If you want to view or update the information in a Company Profile or Contract Profile, click on the profile in the Menu section to display a new tab for the profile in the Project Profile. Click on the tab to access the profile where you can update basic information for the profile, as well as linked data such as events, payments, products, relationships, addresses, and people associated with the company or contract.

Note: Any edits you make to the information in the Menu section of the screen are automatically saved.

Workflows link

If you want to manage the workflows that have been created for the project, as well as those that were automatically added when a Company or Contract Profile was added to the project, click to display the Workflows screen where you can add, edit, and delete workflows.

Documents link

If you want to manage the documents that have been added to the project, as well as those that were automatically added when a Company or Contract Profile was added to the project, click to display the Documents screen where you can add, edit, download, and delete documents.

Tasks link

If you want to manage the tasks that have been added to the project, as well as those that were automatically added when a Company or Contract Profile was added to the project, click to display the Tasks screen where you can add, edit, and complete tasks.

Additional Forms link

If you want to manage the additional forms that have been added to the project, as well as those that were automatically added when a Company or Contract Profile was added to the project, click to display the Additional Forms screen where you can add and complete additional forms.

History link

If you want to view a history of the changes that have been made to the project, click to display the History screen.

L

Scorecards link

If you want to manage the scorecards for the project, click to display the Scorecards browse screen where you can add or edit scorecards.

M Messaging link If you want to view, send, or reply to a message stored in the Project Profile, click to display the Messaging screen.

 If a flow is associated with a project, you can complete a step in the flow, manage flow documents, and invalidate the flow.
