Tasks Link

The Tasks link is used to display the Tasks browse screen, which stores all the tasks that have been assigned for contract.

To access the Tasks browse screen, open a Contract Profile, and scroll down to the Links section of the screen.

  The tasks for which you have some measure of responsibility can be viewed from your Upcoming Tasks portlet in the Dashboard.

Tasks link

Click to display the Tasks browse screen. The link is appended by a number, indicating the number of tasks contained in the profile.

Task records

View the incomplete tasks for the company. Tasks displayed in red text have not been completed and are past due.

Complete Task icon

Click on the icon to complete the task.

Task calendar

Click on the icon in the Start Date or Due Date field to display a pop-up calendar where you can select a new start or due date if you want to reschedule a task.

Add Task option

Populate the Task Subject, Due Date and Task Owner fields, and then click the Add Task button to add a task. The Start Date field is auto-populated with the current date, but you can change the start date. The Task Created By and Task Created On fields are auto-populated, but cannot be edited.

Note: Once you add a task, the only fields that you can edit are Task Subject, Due Date, and Task Owner.

Add Task List button

Click to create a task list from a selection of available task lists.

Sort option

If you want to change the sort order of the data in a column, click on the column heading to toggle the sort order.

Column Display option

If you want to filter the display of information in a screen, click on the arrow icon to the right of any column to display the Sort/Column menu, and select Columns to display a list of available fields. Select the fields you want displayed in the browse screen by clicking in the check box to the left of the field.

Reorder and Resize options

  • To resize a column, mouse over the right or left border of the header until the resize icon appears. Then, click on the border and drag it until the column is the desired width.
  • To move a column to a different location in the browse screen, click on the column header and then drag it to the left or right, and drop it in the desired location. If you are successfully moving a column of data, the icon displays during the move.

Show Completed button

Click if you want to view both active and completed tasks (see screen shot below). The default view is Hide Completed tasks.

Completed task records

View the completed tasks, which are displayed in strikethrough text and contain Closure Notes provided by the individual who completed the task. The Show Completed view also displays the tasks that are past due in red text.

Reopen icon

Click on the icon to reopen a completed task. The icon is present if you have the authority to reopen a task (i.e., you are the task owner or you created the task).

Hide Completed button

Click to return to the default view (i.e., hide completed tasks).
