Adding a Company Relationship

The Company Relationships feature allows you to record the relationships between the companies in your Novatus database. Once a relationship is established between two companies, you can view the hierarchy by clicking on the Relationships link in the Company Profile for either company.

A company relationship is added from the Relationships browse screen in the Company Profile for either company.

Relationships link

Click to view the Relationships browse screen. The link is appended by a number, indicating the number of relationships the company has with other companies in the Novatus system.

Click to display a screen that allows you to add a new company relationship.

Is list

Click on the list icon to view the available relationship options. Select the option that best identifies the relationship for the company you will be selecting in the To company list.

To Company list

Click on the icon to display a window listing all the companies in your system. Locate the company that is the other party to the relationship, and click on the company record to select it.

Note: You can page through the list using the navigation arrows, or use the Search option to quickly locate a company. Simply enter the first few letters of the company name into the Search field and click on the icon.

Notes field

Enter any notes that will further explain the relationship between the companies.

Note: If the text you enter exceeds the viewing area of the field, click the Expand link to display a window that will allow you to view the text in its entirety.

Save button

Click to save your information and add the company relationship.
