Receiving a Response Email for a Contract Request

Once you make a contract request in Novatus, you will receive a system email that advises you whether or not your request has been approved. The email will contain information relevant to your request, including the name of the company, the name of the request, and the name of the person who reviewed your request. If the contract request was approved, the email will contain a link to the Contract Profile where you can view the approved contract document, which is ready for the counter-party's signature. If the request was declined, the email will contain notes on why your request was declined, as well as a link to your My Requests screen in Novatus where you can make the appropriate changes and resubmit the request, if allowed.

Contract Request Determination header

If the request was approved, the header will display Contract Request Accepted, but if it was not approved, the header will display Contract Request Declined.

Company Name header

View the name of the company for which the request was approved or declined.

Request Name field

View the name of the contract request.

Note: If you made a contract request using a template that included more than one contract document, such as a Master contract and a supporting Schedule, you will receive individual email messages for each document in the contract request.

Description field

View the description of the contract request.

Approved By (or Declined By) field

View the name of the person who approved (or declined) your contract request.

Note: If the contract request was declined, a Decline Notes field displays with information on why the contract request was not approved.

Document Attachment link

Click to download or save a copy of the approved (or declined) contract document.

Go To My Requests link

Click if you want to display your My Requests browse screen once you login to Novatus Contracts.

Note: If the contract request was declined, you may be able to resubmit the request after making the changes indicated in the Decline Notes field.

Go To Contract link

Click if you want to display the Contract Profile for the new contract document once you login to Novatus Contracts

Note: This link is not present if the contract request was declined.
