Accessing the Analytics Report Screen

The Analytics report screen has three views:

  1. Data, which allows you to build the report by adding fields, applying filters, and formatting the display of data
  2. Charts, which allows you to add different types of charts to graphically display report data
  3. Output, which allows you to preview the report before saving it.

The Related Reports view is only available when the Co-Display and Drill Through options are selected in the Analysis Style panel in the Data view of an Analytics Report.

Accessing the Analytics Report Screen

To access the Analytics Report screen, you must open an existing report or create a new report.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Reports to display the menu, and select Reports to display the Reports browse screen.

Analytics Report records

If you want to review the components of an existing report, locate the report record. Analytics reports are located in the Report Group: Analytics Report section of the screen. Click on the image012.pngicon for the report record to display the Analytic Report screen, and proceed to Identifying Screen Components.

To quickly locate the report, enter the report name (or other identifier) in the Search field, and depress the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the filter, click on the image008.png icon.

If you want to review the components before creating a new report, click on the menu, and then select Analytics Report to display a Novatus Analytics prompt.

Entity field list

  • Click in the field to display the Clause, Company, Project, and Request folders, and select the entity you want to report upon. Selecting a top-level entity will display only the fields in the Profile, as well as any additional fields that have been added to the Profile.
  • Click on the image014.png arrow for Company, Project, or Request to display a hierarchy of linked information. Drill down until you locate the lowest level of information needed for your report, and then click on this level to select it. Example: To report on the information stored in the Contract Profile screen, you must drill down to the Contract folder inside the Company folder.

In the screen capture above, Company is the primary entity, Contract is the secondary entity, and Documents is the tertiary entity since the report is focusing on contract documents.

Run button

Click to display the Analytics Report Builder containing the available fields for your report.
