Inactivating and Reactivating Contract Flow Templates

A contract flow template that has been published can be inactivated temporarily if updates need to be made to the template. Inactivating a template prevents the Novatus system from automatically applying the old flow to new Contract Profiles being added to the system while the template is being updated. Once the updates to the flow template have been completed, the template must be republished and reactivated so that the Novatus system can continue applying the flow to all the appropriate Contract Profiles.

The Inactivate feature can also be used to permanently inactivate a published contract flow template since there is currently no way to delete a published flow template. However, a draft contract flow template can be deleted.

Inactivating a flow template prevents the flow from running automatically in a Contract, Company, or Project Profile.  However, an inactive flow template still displays in the list of available templates when a user with the Flow Admin permission runs a flow from an existing Profile by selecting the Start Flow button in the toolbar.
