Activating and Deactivating a Creation Template

A Creation Template that is added to Novatus involves a multi-step process that includes formatting a MS Word document so that it can be uploaded as a template and used to create a contract in the Creation Wizard.  Another step involves mapping the variable information (merge fields) in the Word document to Novatus system fields, additional form fields, and clauses.  The template can be activated when these steps are completed, or other steps can be performed, such as adding restrictions to control the types of contracts that can be created using the template, and adding questions/actions that determine how the contract should be customized for individual clients.

The ability to deactivate a template is useful since it makes the template temporarily unavailable as a selection in the Creation Wizard when the template is being edited.

Activating a Creation Template

1.   Click Admin in the Navigation Toolbar, and click the Creation Templates link.

2.   In the Creation Template Browse screen, locate the template you want to activate. A deactivated template is displayed in gray text.
