Editing, Disabling, and Deleting Items in a Project List

A list item can easily be edited to accommodate changes in the way project information is categorized. A project list item can also be disabled temporarily if it will be needed again in the future, or permanently deleted if it is no longer relevant or applicable.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display a menu of your administrator functions, and click on Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.

Field List category

Locate the Project category by entering "project" in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon. The Search option is used to search for field lists, and not list categories.

Note: The items in this category include three field lists: Project Group, Project Status, and Project Type.

Project list

Locate the list that contains the item you want to edit, disable, or delete, and click on it to display all the items in the list.

Excel button

Click if the list is lengthy, and you want to view the list items in an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel application launches and displays a spreadsheet with an easy-to-view listing of all list items.

Name and Description fields

If you want to edit an item, click inside its Name or Description field to make it editable. Type over the existing text to edit the item's name or description.

Note: The Project Status list also has an editable Status Type field with Active and Inactive as the options.

Disabled check box

If you want to make an item temporarily unavailable to users as a selection in this list, click inside its check box.

Delete button

If you want to delete an item from a project list, click on its icon to display a confirmation prompt, and then select the Yes option in the prompt.

Save button

Click to edit, disable, or delete the project list item.
