Adding a Clause Category List Item

A Clause Category is used to classify a clause (e.g., Assignment, Termination, Payment Terms) so that it is readily identifiable and available as substitute language when a new contract is being negotiated or when the contract is being re-negotiated. Administrators are responsible for adding the categories that used to classify the clauses that users add to the Clause Library, as well as the clause types and the security levels that can be assigned to individual clauses.

A Clause Category must be set up before a Clause Type can be added.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display a menu of your administrator functions, and click on Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.

Fields List category

Locate the Clause category by entering "clause" in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon. The Search option is used to search for field lists, and not list categories.
