Disabling and Deleting Items in a Clause Type List

An item in a Clause Type list can be temporarily disabled if it will be needed again in the future, or permanently deleted unless it is being used in the Clause Library.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display a menu of your administrator functions, and click on Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.

Fields List category

Locate the Clause category by entering "clause" in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon. The Search option is used to search for field lists, and not list categories.

Note: The items in this category include three lists: Clause Category, Clause Type, and Clause Security.

Clause Type list

Click on the link to display the existing items in the list.

Excel button

Click if the list of clause types is lengthy, and you want to view the list in an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel application launches and displays a spreadsheet with an easy-to-view listing of all clause types.

Disabled check box

If you want to make a clause type temporarily unavailable, click inside its check box.

Delete button

If you want to delete a clause type, click on its icon to display a delete confirmation prompt. Select the Yes option in the prompt.

Note: If the clause type is being used in the Clause Library, you will not be able to delete it.

Save button

Click to edit, disable, or delete the item selection for the clause type list.
