Adding an Item to a Routing Table List

Administrators are responsible for adding the categories to the Routing Table Category field list, which displays when a user runs the Workflow Wizard. The item selections in the Routing Table Category list must reflect the categories of the existing routing tables to assist users in selecting the correct routing table when a Gateway step in the workflow requires the approval of one or more individuals.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display the menu, and select Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.

Field List category

Locate the Workflow category by entering "routing" in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon. The Search option is used to search for field lists, and not list categories.

Note: There is one list in the Workflow category (i.e., Routing Table).

Routing Table Category list

Click on the link to display the existing items in the list.

Excel button

Click if the list of routing tables is lengthy, and you want to view the list in an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel application launches and displays a spreadsheet with an easy-to-view listing of all routing table categories.

Add button

Click to display a New Item record with editable fields. The New Item record displays at the top of the list.

New Item - Name and Description fields

  • Click on the New Item text in the Name column, and enter a name for the field list item exactly as you want it to appear in the routing table list.
  • Click on the Default Description text in the Description column, and type the information or instruction you want to display when a user "mouses-over" this item.

Save button

Click to add a new item selection to the routing table category list.
