Adding an Item to a Location Type List

Both the Company Profile and the Contract Profile contain a Location Type field list. This field list allows users to record additional addresses for a company, such as a branch office or a sales office, as well as a location for the hard copy of an executed contract, such as a HQ or an off-site storage facility.

The Location Type field list is found in the screen that displays when:

  • Locations link is selected in a Company Profile, and the Add Location button is selected.
  • Addresses link is selected in a Contract Profile, the Edit Address button is selected, and then the New Company Location button is selected.



Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display a menu of your administrator functions, and click on Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.


Fields List category

Locate the Address category by entering "location" in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon. The Search option is used to search for field lists, and not list categories.

Note: The items in this category include one field list, a link to the location fields that can be made mandatory, and a link to the fields for which a Quick Tip can be added.


Location Type list

Click to display the list of existing location types.

Note: The default sort order for items in a field list is ascending (A-Z), but you can reverse the sort order to descending (Z-A) by clicking on the Name header.


Excel button

Click if the list of selections is lengthy, and you want to view the list in an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel application launches and displays a spreadsheet with an easy-to-view listing of all list items.


Add button

Click to display a New Item record with editable fields. The New Item record displays at the top of the list.


New Item - Name and Description fields

  • Click on the New Item text in the Name column, and enter a name for the list item exactly as you want it to appear in the location type list.
  • Click on the Default Description text in the Description column, and type the informational text that you want to display when the user "mouses-over" this item.


Save button

Click to add a new item selection to the location type list.
