Identifying a Required Company Field

Novatus requires that certain fields in the Company Profile must be populated. In addition to these system-required fields, administrators can designate additional fields that users must populate.

Navigation Toolbar

Click on Admin to display a menu of your administrator functions, and click on Lists to display the List Administration screen.

Note: If the Lists link is not in your Admin menu, you do not have the permissions to use this feature.

Fields List category

Locate the Company category in the browse screen by entering "comp" (or company) in the Search field, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. To clear the search results, click on the icon.

Note: The items in this category include five company field lists, a link to the profile fields that can be made mandatory, and a link to the fields for which a Quick Tip can be added.

Company Required Fields link

Click to display a list of the optional fields in the Company Profile that you can designate as required fields. To sort the optional fields, click on the Field Name header to toggle between ascending (A-Z) and descending (Z-A) order.

Note: If you want to print a list of the fields in the browse screen, click the Excel button to launch the application and display the fields in a spreadsheet.

Required check box

Click inside the check box for a field to select it and make the field required. To change a field from required to optional, simply de-select the field's Required check box by clicking on it.

Save button

Click to save your information and identify a Company Profile field as required.
