Novatus Portal

Novatus includes a secure module known as the Portal, which is an online forum that your customers and clients can access to share information, exchange documents, negotiate contracts, and sign documents using electronic signatures. The Portal is also used to register suppliers (or vendors) who want to do business with your company.

Customers and clients receive the URL for the Portal from a link in an email message that is generated by the Document Package Wizard or the eSignature Wizard (DocuSign or EchoSign). Administrators are responsible for providing a link to the Portal to potential suppliers or vendors during the Supplier Registration process. During this process, Administrators can provide the link to suppliers via email, or the Administrator can post the link on their company's website.

  The individuals who participate in document packages, the electronic signing process, and supplier registrations via the Portal are known as external participants.

Log into the Portal


Email Address field

Enter the email address that was used to invite you to the document package, participate in the eSignature process, or register as a supplier.

Note: If you do not have password, see "Create a Portal Account" below.


Password field

Enter your password.

Note: If you don't remember your password, click the Forgot Password button to display a prompt that will allow you to answer a security question. Once you correctly answer the question, you will receive an email message containing a link to a screen that will allow you to reset your password.


Login button

Click to log into the Portal, where you will immediately be directed to a module that allows you to participate in a document package, sign a document electronically, or register as a supplier.


Create a Portal Account

If you do not have a login to Novatus Contracts, but you are an external participant in a Novatus process, you will be required to login to the Portal. If you do not have a Novatus Portal account, you will be required to create one.

Click to refresh the screen and display a screen that will allow you to register as a Novatus Portal user.

Note: All fields in the refreshed screen are required.



First Name and Last Name fields

Enter your first and last name into the appropriate fields.


Company Name field

Enter the full name of your company.


Email address

Enter the email address that the Novatus system used to send you the message on the document package.


Password and Password Confirm fields

Enter a distinctive password, and then re-renter the password to confirm it.

Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase characters, lowercase characters, numbers, and symbols. Also, passwords are case sensitive.


Password Reset Questions list

Click in the field to activate it, and then select one of the security questions in the list. This question will be used to confirm your identity in the event you forget your password.


Password Reset Answer field

Enter the answer for the security question you selected.


Portal Settings check boxes

De-select the appropriate check box if you do not want to receive an email when a document is checked out of or back into the document package, or when a document in the document package has been completed. The default is to receive email notifications for all these events.


Register button

Click to register as a Novatus Portal user. You will be directed back to the Portal as a user with an account so that you can participate in the document package, sign a document electronically, or register as a supplier (see "Log into the Portal" on page 32).
