Navigation Toolbar and Admin Menu

The Navigation Toolbar displays along the top of every screen and includes six drop-down menus: My Place, Companies, Contracts, Reports, Admin, and Search. Each menu includes two or more labeled icons that link you to program data and/or allow you to perform various tasks. There is also a menu that displays when you click on your name in the toolbar. This menu has four labeled icons that allow you to access the online help system, set your user preferences, return to the Dashboard from any screen, or log out of the Novatus system. The basic search field, which is also located in the toolbar, allows you to enter a keyword or phrase and click on the icon to perform a quick search.

 To quickly log out of the Novatus system, simply click on the icon. To quickly return to the Dashboard, click on the Novatus (or other logo) in the top left corner of every screen.

A Admin link

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to the browse or admin screens where you can manage users, roles, lists, event alert templates, task lists, dynamic forms and additional fields, profile rules, contract request types, creation templates, email distribution lists, and supplier registration types. You can also adjust system settings, perform advanced edits, bulk upload data, and create global messages. If you  want to use Flow Templates to control the type and order in which data is captured for a contract, company, or   project, choose the appropriate Flow icon.

Note: The Workflows icon displays a secondary menu that will link you to the browse or admin screen for workflow templates, workflow teams, and routing tables. Similarly, the Scorecards icon displays a secondary menu with links to scorecards, scorecard answer profiles, and scorecard components.

My Place menu

 

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to your Calendar, as well as browse screens for the Events, Contracts, Document Packages, Supplier Registrations, and Projects for which you have some measure of responsibility. There are also icon links to the Global Documents and Clauses you can use, the People whose information you can access, and links to your contract Requests, as well as any contract Approvals that you need to review. The Dashboard link takes you back to the Dashboard from any program screen.

Companies menu

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to the browse screens for All companies, companies with a status of Active, and companies with a status of Inactive. Click the New button if you want to add a new company.

Contracts menu

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to the browse screens for All contracts, contracts with a status of Active, contracts with a status of In Process, and contracts with a status of Inactive. Click the New button if you want to add a new contract (root or incorporated).

Reports menu

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to your Reports browse screen and your Scheduled Reports browse screen.

Basic Search field

Enter a keyword or phrase into the field and click on the image013.png icon.

Search menu

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you to a screen where you can perform a search query and a document search.

[Your name] menu

Click to display a drop-down menu with labeled icons that will link you the online help system, return you to the Dashboard from any screen, set your user preferences, and log out of the system.

Logout icon

Click to log out of the Novatus system.

Add Portlet button

Click to add a portlet to your Dashboard.
