Document Assembly allows a MS Word document to be updated using clauses stored in the Clause Library without launching Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus). Using a plug-in, access to the Clause Library is available from MS Word where the open document displays on the left, and Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) runs in a miniature browser window on the right. Clauses can be located in the Clause Library, and then dragged-and-dropped directly into the Word document. The Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) environment that is used to access the Clause Library can be updated to accommodate customers who run multiple instances of the program, as well as customers who use the Single Sign-On (SSO) option.
There are four tasks associated with Document Assembly:
- Download and install the Word plug-in
- Update a Word document using the Clause Library
- Searching the Clause Library
- Update the Settings (URL) for the Cause Library
Users must have the Word-Add In Access permission to install the plug-in needed for Document Assembly.
