Creating a BI Dashboard

This page applies to: Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus)
This page applies to: BI Toolbox Module

You need the BI Tool permission to create a Dashboard, which can include one or more of the analyses and visual analyses stored in the Visual Gallery. You can create a Dashboard for your own use, or share it with other users, who can view it from their Home screen in the BI Toolbox or from their BI Toolbox portlet in the Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) Dashboard.

A Dashboard can be created with one view of a single analysis/visual analysis, or additional tabs can be added to create multiple views of the same or related data.  For each tab in the Dashboard, the layout can be customized to accommodate the number of analyses/visual analyses to be displayed in a single row, allowing for side-by-side comparisons.

The Dashboard below is created using two visual analyses on one tab: Contract Value By Expiration Date (in chart and table format) and one visualization on a second tab: Contract Value By Type.

1.  Click Reports in the Navigation Toolbar, and select the BI Toolbox link in the menu.

2.  In the Home screen, click Icon AuthorDash.gif, located in the upper left of the screen.

6.  (Optional) Change the default number of visualizations that can be displayed, side-be-side, in a single row in a tab:

  • Click Icon BIDashProp.png, located to the right of the New Tab, and select Change Layout in the menu.

The active tab is displayed in bold text.

8.  (Optional) Apply a global filter to all visualizations, or set up an individual filter for a specific visualization.

9.  (Optional) Move and resize the visualizations in the Dashboard:
