SalesConnect - Cannot Map Custom Fields

Question or Problem

Custom fields added to a Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) page in Salesforce cannot be mapped to fields in Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) because the fields are not visible in the Salesforce Field Mapping window in the Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) Integration Settings screen.

Solution and/or Cause

Ensure your connection user1 has an Administrator Profile with field level access to any custom fields that are added to a Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) page in Salesforce and need to be mapped to fields in Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) program screens. It is recommended that the connection user has a System Admin Profile and that you verify the profile has field level access to ensure custom fields can be added in Salesforce and mapped to fields in Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus).

1A connection user is the person who establishes the connection between Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) and Salesforce, and then logs into Salesforce, making that individual the API connection user.  The connection user must have all the available rights and permissions to perform their administrative duties.

If another Salesforce user is logged in using the same browser when the connection user clicks the Connect to Salesforce button in the Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus) Integration Settings screen, then the application will attempt to log in as that user, and will not give the connection user the option to select their credentials, identifying them as the connection user.
