The Routing Table Category field list in the List Administration screen is used to define and manage the routing table categories that are used when a Workflow Admin creates a routing table. A routing table is used in a workflow template when a workflow step requires the approval of more than one person. A routing table identifies one or more steps in the approval process and the functions of the people who can approve a workflow step.
When a Workflow Admin creates a routing table, the selections in Category list are managed from the List Administration screen. Therefore, a Workflow Admin should also be granted the List Admin permission in their user role(s).
A routing table is used in the Workflow Wizard when the wizard is run using a template that includes a Gateway step, which requires the approval of more than one person.
