Locating an Event

This page applies to: Conga Contracts

The events that you create can be viewed and accessed from your MyPlace menu.  The events in the Upcoming Events portlet in your Dashboard are the events for which you will receive an event alert (email message) and are expected to play some part in completing the task(s) associated with the event.  Other events can be located by running a search query or accessing the Events screen in a Company or Contract Profile.

My Place Menu

1.  Click MyPlace in the Navigation Toolbar.

2.  In the My Place menu, click the Events link.

3.  Click an event record to link to the Contract or Company Profile containing the event.

4.  In the Links section of the Profile, click the Events link.

5.  In the Events screen, click an event record to display its Event Profile.

Upcoming Events Portlet

   The events for which you will receive an email alert are displayed in the Upcoming Events portlet in your Dashboard. 

1.  From the Upcoming Events portlet, locate the event by scrolling through the list.

  • Click to display a Time Span prompt to change the number of days prior to the current date when displaying events that are due for completion.
  • (Optional) Customize the information in the portlet by hovering over a column heading until the Icon Column.png icon displays, and then click it to display the Sort/Column menu.  Click Columns to display a list of available fields, and select the fields you want displayed by clicking in the check box to the left of the field.

The events with a status of Scheduled are those that will generate an email message (event alert) to you and any others on the Notification list for the event. 

2.  Click an event record to link to the Contract or Company Profile containing the event.

3.  In the Links section of the Profile, click the Events link.

4.  In the Events screen, click an event record to display its Event Profile.

Events Screen

1.  Open the Company or Contract Profile containing the event.

2.  In the Links section of the Profile, click the Events link.

3.  In the Events screen, click an event record to display its Event Profile.

Search Query

A search query to locate a upcoming contract or company events is shown below.

1.  Click Search in the Navigation Toolbar, and select the Search Query link in the menu.

2.  In the Query Info view of the screen, click New in the toolbar.

3.  When the screen refreshes, set one of the following hierarchies in the Result Type list to search for a company or contract event:

  • Company
    • Click in the list to display the hierarchy, and click the Company folder.
  • Company→Contract
    • Click in the list to display the hierarchy, and click the icon to the left of the Company folder.
    • Scroll past the alphabetical listing of fields in the Company Profile, and click the Contract folder.

4.  In the Criteria section, set one of the following hierarchies for the company or contract event in the field list:

  • Company→Event→Event Date
    • Click in the field list to display the hierarchy, and click the icon to the left of the Company folder.
    • Scroll past the alphabetical listing of fields in the Company Profile, and click the icon to the left of the Event folder.
    • Click the Event Date sub-folder.
  • Company→Contract→Event→Event Date
    • Click in the field list to display the hierarchy, and click the icon to the left of the Company folder.
    • Scroll past the alphabetical listing of fields in the Company Profile, and click the icon to the left of the Contract folder.
    • Scroll through the alphabetical listing of fields in the Contract Profile, and click the icon to the left of the  Event folder.
    • Click the Event Date sub-folder. 

You can also search for an event by its name, description, other dates related to the event, number of warning days, owner of the event, as well as completed events.

5.  In the Criteria section, define the operator and value(s) for the search:

6.  Click Execute in the toolbar to run the query.

7.  When the Results view of the screen displays, click a search record to display its Contract or Company Profile.

8.  In the Links section of the Profile, click the Events link.

9.  In the Events screen, click an event record to display its Event Profile.
