Copying a Canned/Shared Visual Analysis

This page applies to: Conga Contracts
This page applies to: BI Toolbox Module

You need the BI Tool permission to make a copy of a CANNED or shared visual analysis that is stored in the Shared with Me section of the Home screen.  A CANNED visual analysis is provided by Conga Contracts and a shared analysis is provided by another user with the BI Tool permission. Once you copy a visual analysis, it can be edited, renamed, and saved in the Visual Gallery where it is available for use in creating an Analytics Report and a BI Dashboard

When a visual analysis is copied, the original CANNED or shared analysis remains in the Shared with Me section of the Home screen. An alternative to copying a visual analysis is to edit the original version and save it as a new analysis, which automatically stores it in the My Items section of the screen.

1.  Click Reports in the Navigation Toolbar, and select the BI Toolbox link in the menu.

2.  In the Home screen, click the Shared with Me link.

3.  In the list of items, locate the visual analysis you want to copy:

  • A visual analysis provided by Conga Contracts is preceded by the word CANNED and contains the  Icon ShareVA.gif icon.
  • A visual analysis shared by another user also contains the  Icon ShareVA.gif icon.

4.  Click the Icon BI Move.gif icon for the CANNED or shared analysis and then drag-and-drop it into your My Items folder, or a subfolder.
