Add Send for Negotiation and View Redlines Buttons to Standard or Custom Objects

Conga Contracts functionality can be used on objects other than Contracts. To do this, you will need to add Conga Contracts buttons to those objects.

To add View Redlines or Send for Negotiation buttons to another object:

 To add the Select Primary Document button to another object, see Add Select Primary Document Button to Standard or Custom Objects

  1. In Salesforce, click Setup.
  2. Click Customize.
  3. Click the appropriate object, for example: Opportunities.
  4. Click Buttons, Links, and Actions.
  5. Click New Button or Link.
  6. Add the following information:
    • Label = desired action, for example: Send for Negotiation
    • Name = default from Label, for example: Send_for_Negotiation
    • Display Type = Detail Page button
    • Behavior = Display in existing window without sidebar or header
    • Content Source = URL
    • Formula = {!URLFOR( $Action.Contract.thisAction, null, [altId=thisObject.Id], false)}

      .thisAction - is the action of the button you want to use
      (Send for Negotiation or View Redlines - see example below)

      thisObject.Id - is Id of the object to which you want to add the button
      (such as Account.ID - see example below)

      For example, Send for Negotiation on an Account would look like this:

      {!URLFOR($Action.Contract.APXT_Redlining__Send_for_Negotiation, null, [altId=Account.Id], false)}

      View Redlines on an Account would look like this:

      {!URLFOR($Action.Contract.APXT_Redlining__View_Redlines, null, [altId=Account.Id], false)}

  7. Click Save.
  8. Place the button on your page layout.
