Single ActionGrid Tab

This example shows a Contacts (AG) tab:

First, you will create a Visualforce page, then you will create a tab for that page. Follow these steps:

  1. Click ActionGrid Setup.
  2. Select an object from the object list for which you want to create an ActionGrid tab.
  3. Click the Tabs & Related Lists tab.
  4. Click Single ActionGrid in the Tab Creation section.
  5. If any views have been created for the related list object, you can select a view from the Default View drop-down list. Leave it blank for no view. Or, click Create new view for this Page to automatically create a view that you can later redefine when you load the page.
  6. Enter a Label, which is the name of the list as it appears on the Salesforce page layout. Keep the label short. Longer labels are more difficult to fit into their assigned fields, and they can be easily lost if you have multiple Visualforce pages.
  7. Enter a Name that will make this list unique in Salesforce, using underscores instead of spaces.
  8. Enable the ActionGrid℠ features you want by selecting their check boxes. Any cleared options can be re-enabled (and vice-versa) from the Visualforce page markup code after creating the related list.
  9. Click OK. A Visualforce Page Created screen appears.
  10. Click Tabs in the Visualforce Page Created screen.
  11. In the Visualforce Tabs area, click New.
  12. From the Visualforce Page drop-down list, select the page that you just created.
  13. Enter a Tab Label. The Tab Name will automatically populate based on the label.
  14. Select a Tab Style to use for your object.
  15. Leave the default option of None for Splash Page Custom Link.
  16. (Optional). Enter a Description for the tab.
  17. Click Next in the lower-right corner of the page.
  18. Select the Profile and Visibility options for this tab.
  19. Click Next.
  20. Select which Apps in the Salesforce App Menu should include the tab.
  21. Click Save.
  22. Click All Tabs in the Salesforce® menu.
  23. Click Customize My Tabs.
  24. Select the new tab in the Available Tabs list, then click Add to move it to the Selected Tabs list.
  25. Click Save.
